Been Out of Commission

I just wanted to post a quick note... As you can see I've been out of commission as far as scrapping goes for MONTHS now. If you check my myspace blog you'll see that it has been a rough 3 months or so and everything has taken a back-seat to medical drama... Blah.

I had even been asked to make paper piecings and had to turn down the job. I haven't had time to make dinner, let alone do anything crafty. It is hard! :(

So, that's my scrappy life right now... Out for the moment.

And I had such high hopes to get to scrapping when my kids started school last fall. Sigh...

So, it's genealogy and writing that get my moments of creativity. In the car, waiting in hospital rooms, and occasionally a trip to the library... But I miss paper. I miss glue. I miss photography and all that it entails.

I will come back to scrapping eventually. It's just going to take time. (and thankfully, photos and paper will wait for me!)

I love little books. I feel like I can sit down in one afternoon and make a whole book, start to finish, and have something done at the end of the day...

I think there are some Grandma's in my family who will be getting books like these of what makes life "GRAND" for Christmas. :) (Now, to get cute candids or beg for wallet sized school photos... which will be easier to get from my family to put inside?) The little books are PERFECT for wallet sized photos!!

I hope your Halloween was filled with sweet treats! Now, to get ready for my most favorite holiday.... THANKSGIVING! Yum!

I am also attempting to take the National Novel Writing Challenge this month, which explains why my blogs (and my laundry!) are not up to date. ;-)

I have a 2page layout that has to be done before midnight, but chores to do, too. Eek! I've been putting off this layout all week and now I'm down to the wire. Plus, I've got a lunch date with my mom... Oh boy do I know how to procrastinate or what?!? LOL

Scrapping with my eyes closed...

Well, right now I'm typing with my eyes closed, anyway! ;-) Staying up till 3am last night is catching up to me. Even listening to New Wave from the 80's as I type is not working... Sleep is overcoming me! Oh no!

Here are 2 layouts I finished today... One is for ScrapLove, the other is for the 3 Bugs sketch contest. I'm not crazy about the 3 Bugs one. Some elements I really like. Other things I'm not digging. Oh well. Like I said, scrapping with my eyes closed, what do I expect?!? LOL





I have another layout to do for ScrapNCircle and then I'll finish this little book I'm working on for eBay.

Here is a sketch for the week, too... (I had trouble with photobucket this week, too... I have no idea what my problem with computers is right now! LOL)


This week I have 2 layouts I need to complete for scrapping challenges at ScrapLove and ScrapNCircle. I'm struggling to find time and inspiration for both. Today's my DD's birthday and so I've got a lot to do with that... as well as my usual scrap for hire and household duties. Can you believe my husband and children want to have (gasp!) three meals a day AND snacks thrown in? I know! Don't they know how to put a HotPocket into the microwave? LOL Anyone ever heard of cold cereal? Toast? But once in a while I *do* need to eat, too. I have noticed that on days that I eat more regularly, I lose weight. I have to keep my blood sugar stabilized.
