Scrappy Challenges

Challenges and contests keep me scrapping and creating when my everyday "life" is chaotic. I am both surprised and relieved that June is almost over! Six more weeks until the kids are back in school and I can get back into a "normal" routine for me which includes quiet time to create.

However, there are some fun challenges at Scrappers Anonymous that have pushed me to create, as well as having the opportunity to teach a mini-class at Church. Come and check out the challenges at SA...

And I am going to enter another 8 week scrapping challenge at another site... I'll post my details and layouts as I create... Here are the cards I made for Patty's Card Challenge! (Keep in mind I am NOT a card maker! LOL)







I plan to get back to paper piecing and making layouts... But right now, I have to let the contests and challenges push me. I've been writing fiction -- my mind is brimming with ideas -- and when I'm like this, I am not just compelled to write... I have to write or I lose the story!

BUT this morning I'm going to look through my Tracy White Photography for Scrapbooking book again before I head to the pool. I want to capture some great photos of SUMMER. It's definitely summer in Arizona.

Make it a Priority!!

Have you ever wanted to mail a layout, scrapbook paper, or other scrappy supply that you needed a nice box for? When I was at the Mesa Scrapbook Convention in April I picked up the FANTASTIC USPS Priority mailer that is 15 x 15 -- perfect for mailing completed layouts, scrapbooking supplies, etc. Well, since then I've looked everywhere trying to get MORE...

This is a site you can add your name to petition the USPS to carry this Priority mailer in your local post office. Currently you can only get them at the CK Conventions! It's definitely WORTH taking a couple of minutes to add your name to the list!

Summer Has Begun

Hi everyone,

I spent my day working at the scrapping supplies... Since my DD is now back in her "own room" that means I've lost my scrap room and I must put up and take down every time I start to scrap. UGH! Not good for the creativity!! :-S However, I have neglected making meals while scrapping. Before you think I'm a horrible mom, we did go to the library! LOL

Once I get my camera and computer talking it will make life easier. I cannot find the USB cable... And the laptop is now... well, it doesn't live in this room where the scanner and other equipment is. I do not pretend to understand! LOL

And when I have all of the digital equipment communicating once again, I'll be back to printing pics and scrapping... Ahh... scrapping...

While I didn't win the Scrap-E-Gories contest, I got to the semi-finals. Not too bad, right? THANKS to all who went to VOTE for me!! :)

Now that it's 8pm, I better find something to nosh on before I collapse in front of Law & Order re-runs while the girls play on the computer. :D
